Illinois Agri-Women (IAW) is organizing The Women Changing the Face of Agriculture conference as an investment in the future of agriculture. This outreach project gives all women the opportunity to explore different career paths offered in the agriculture sector.
Our Goal
Our goal is to help attendees receive accurate information first hand from actual women agriculture professionals. IAW is a grassroots organization of farm and agri-business women promoting a better understanding of agriculture and the family farm system.
HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
High school girls that are in the process of deciding on the track of what career they would like to pursue after graduation should attend.
Our event exhibits many different professionals that can provide insight into different careers, postitions, and companies in agriculture.
You may also take this opportunity to request a day to job shadow or have an internship to experience a career you may be interested in.
The Women Changing the Face of Agriculture conference is designed for young women in high school and college who are interested in a career in agriculture. Group registration is available for collegiate groups, FFA chapters, and 4-H clubs.
AGRICULTURAL PROFESSIONAL WOMEN
The future of our industry, and the role of women in agriculture, is dependent on us encouraging upcoming generations of women to pursue a job in agriculture.
Our event offers the opportunity to exhibit your company to high school girls that are in the process of deciding their career track.
During the event, you will share your story. How did you select your career track, what mistakes did you make, what lessons did you learn from, and what are the benefits of being a woman in agriculture.
Pledge to be a professional attendee for the career exploration fair or volunteer to host a breakout session. Sponsorship opportunities are available to support the event. We are also always looking for volunteers.
